Beatrice Christiana also makes a repeat appearance in Deathstalker Rebellion – though deathstalkwr at all in the way you would expect for a dyed-in-the-blood aristocrat. So, what I loved most was the multiple perspectives, with every character having their own outlook on the events happening, and having their own responses. Half-a-Man is also the creator of the Investigators – so of course from the beginning, you know he’s going to be a hard son-of-a-bitch.

Deathstxlker at best plays a role of social grouping and at worst, a controlling. And so I keep reading, eager to know what will happen next! Really like this story. Silence and Frost featured prominently again and had a few more missions to complete for the Empress.

The second Deathstalker novel is a direct continuation of the first one and therefore keeps all of the same qualities: What a peculiar reading experience.
Though the series is about Owen Deathstalker, he is more in the background in this book.

A bit of a drop-off from the first one, but really it’s a whole lot more of the same. It is painful to see “old Jack” start to come into his own, only to be cut down by this new golden version of himself.

The bit with the derelict ship Champion showed real promise. Deathstalker Rebellion is a weird bastard of a book, filled with contradictions i And that was when the roof fell in. Not to mention the numerous high-profile screw-ups he has being transmitted live to the Empire. The final quarter of the story focusing on Jack random is probably worth 4 stars, but the rest of the story lets it down.

Sometimes the contradiction would come a chapter or two after a statement was made, sometimes after a few pages, and some even within the same paragraph. The original Deathstalker book was the best, and although this was a good read, it was a deathstalkr slower to get through.

They were also changed by the maze in book one. Deathstalker is off-screen again for much of the book. I was excited to listen to Deathstalker Rebellionbut the story felt like a retread of Deathstalker. I enjoy the writing, and the story is interesting, but overall it is lacking. We got small examples of how the maze has started to change Owen and his companions and we got a few more encounters with various aliens! To be honest, this book is one of those that you think “Man, I’m not getting anywhere!
The high stake scheming between the nobles continued to be both exciting and entertaining as was the jostling for position between the various factions within the rebellion. And of course completely and utterly disturbing, as always. I, the lowly writer, must bend to the whims of the all powerful editor and find something else to review. I couldn’t finish the thing; was proud for enduring through pages of the monstrosity.
Believe me, this is the perfect space opera you where looking for. Green is not a very good writer.
Trivia About Deathstalker Rebe Valentine Wolfe, is of course, as wonderfully entertaining as ever – even more so, if that is possible. Ridiculously deathstalkr monologues and soliloquies with no point to them. Specifically it annoys me how the universe seems to change with each chapter, such as adding a new super powerful character or group to the scene that hasn’t been mentioned before.
